Pinot Grigio Collio White Wine
Winemaking
An international grape variety originating from a genetic mutation of Pinot Nero. In Friuli, particularly in the hilly areas, it produces wines with a refined floral and fruity aroma, along with great structure and elegance.
The grapes undergo destemming and a brief maceration lasting a few hours, followed by soft pressing and static cold decantation of the must. Fermentation takes place over approximately 15 days at a controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C, with periodic bâtonnage (lees stirring). The wine is then aged in steel tanks for about 6–7 months until bottling.
Taste profile A brilliant straw yellow shines in the glass, catching subtle amber highlights. On the nose, it's elegant and enveloping, unfolding gentle floral notes alongside ripe white-fleshed fruit. The palate delivers wonderful body, with a savory character and a persistent finish that lingers beautifully.
