Ribolla Gialla Collio White Wine
Winemaking
A native grape variety of Friuli, whose origins date back to around 1300. It finds its ideal home in the hilly terrain, producing wines with a delicate floral aroma, pleasantly lively acidity, and good savoriness.
The grapes are destemmed and undergo a brief maceration, followed by soft pressing and static cold decantation of the must. Fermentation takes place over approximately 15 days at a controlled temperature between 16°C and 18°C, with periodic bâtonnage (lees stirring). The wine is then aged in steel tanks for about 6–7 months until bottling.
Taste profile A radiant golden straw yellow catches the eye from the very first pour. On the nose, it's elegant and delicate, with soft white flowers, white-fleshed fruit, and bright citrus notes weaving together beautifully. The palate is fresh and mineral-driven, with a pleasant citrusy zing that keeps every sip lively and refreshing.
Why you’ll like it
There's something irresistible about a wine this bright and effortless. That golden glow in the glass promises elegance, and the aromas deliver — soft white flowers and citrus zest that make you want to breathe it in before you even taste it. On the palate, it's crisp, mineral, and lit up with just the right amount of citrusy energy — refreshing without ever feeling thin. It's the kind of wine you pour when you want something that feels a little special, even on an ordinary day.
One glass in, and you'll wonder why you didn't try it sooner.
Food pairing
Ideal as an aperitif, it can be paired with appetizers, fish- or vegetable-based first courses, fried fish, cured ham and cold cuts, and white meats.
Best enjoyed
Best served at an ideal temperature of around 10°C, uncorking the bottle just before serving.
